Missin' These Faces

It's been almost two years since all my sisters and I were together. We tried to make it happen in February, but there always seems to be something keeping all of us from being in the same place at the same time.

Can you tell who made all of us laugh in this picture? Yeah, there's definitely a witty one of the bunch.

Big Bertha

We've been getting tomatoes from the farm lately. We lovingly named this beast Big Bertha. Truly the picture does not do her justice. The thing was HUGE. And tasty. She met her delicious demise when she was sliced and grilled. Yummy.

The Shoes Say All

The girls were playing dress up in the basement today, which is why the picture isn't the best quality. Addie-Cakes is obsessed with these shoes. Well, any shoes for that matter. Who says a shoe fetish isn't innate?

Slides at Twilight

Twilight is my favorite time of day. Especially when I can pull myself out of be early enough for an early morning run. But since I'm not crazy about waking up at dawn, I usually make do with dusk. Plus it's fun to play with the kids outside before bedtime.

Child Labor

Sweet Cheeks has to clean the powder room every week. It would be so much easier to just do it myself, but I'm not gonna be cleaning the toilets when she's 14. Teach 'em young. That's my philosophy.

This is pretty much the only thing she won't complain about cleaning. That and cleaning the toilet. Go figure.

Cruisin' to the Park

We've been taking lots of bike rides this summer. I'm in love with my cruiser. You would be too. My sister traded it for an extra MS Office license we had laying around. I totally got the better end of the deal.

Sweet Cheeks following on the trail-a-bike makes for some interesting rides. Mostly it's just me yelling for her to peddle harder up the hills. Hey, the kid's gotta learn to pull her weight, right?

Sneaking A Peak

Sweet Cheeks taking in an enhanced view of Niagara Falls. She didn't let that quarter go to waste. I don't think she even let anyone else take a look. Silly thing.

Berries Galore

Today the girls were helping me wash the 20 lbs of blueberries we got from an Amish farm in PA. Mostly they were eating them, though.

Saturday we celebrated Addie-cakes's birthday. The silly girl is in love with trains, so that's exactly what she got.

Goodies From the Farm

Today's farm basket once again included a bunch of Swiss Chard, but also lots of peaches and apricots. The blackberries are getting ripe, so I picked a bag today. Yum.

Addie-Cakes had a busy morning swimming with her sister and cousins. She always fights sleep, so it shouldn't be a surprise that she was fighting to stay awake while eating lunch. She caught herself nearly falling out of her chair several times.

Bubble, Bubbles Everywhere

I bought bubble guns off the street in NYC to give to the girls as a consolation for missing 4 days with them. I love bubbles. They seem to never get old, at any age.

Afternoon activity

I missed yesterday, so I'm making up for it today with an actual pic of the day. This is Sweet Cheek's afternoon activity. Of course done while Addie-Cakes was sleeping so she wouldn't wreck it.

Bikes On The Beach

I'm not doing so well on the pic a day thing. My camera has been sitting on my desk waiting to be used, but I just havne't picked it up. I guess the next best thing is to at least post any picture. This was taken at Daytona Beach last November when we were on vacation for Katie's birthday. Technically, I'm not the photographer - Ott is. But I tweaked it in Photoshop, so I'm taking half the credit.
